Because of the ever-growing number of high schools signing up to build robots through BattleBots IQ, we have decided to open a new section to the NPC Robotics web site. We will try to present information in a clear way, to sort through variables of designing, building, and competing in the arena of robot combat.

As in the past BBIQ competitions, NPC will give on-site technical assistance to customers competing at the Spring Nationals, April 21-24, 2004.

If you can’t find the answer to your questions on this, or any other site, please give us a call at 800-444-3528. We are prepared to help.

  • Flow Diagram: To get you started, we have a basic flow diagram illustrating the roles that the most common components of a 'bot do.
  • Design Tips: We've prepared a list of design tips to give you some things to think about as your team works through the initial stages of developing the 'bot.
  • FAQ: We have some no-nonsense answers to some of the more frequently-asked questions of BattleBots IQ teams just starting out.
  • Drive Kits: We've assembled some of our products that work very well for 120 pound robots. These kits have proven themselves to be highly powerful and reliable during the rigors of competition. Each kit displays a flow diagram, showing how components are wired linked with the required IFI Isaac System.
